About Woodall's

Family campers and tenters seeking campground-provided amenities, are reached through the April Issue of Woodall’s Camping Life. A special insert titled – Guide to Select Locations to Family Camping & Tenting provides listings throughout North America featuring current and accurate information about both government and privately-owned campgrounds. An online version also includes its own search engine allowing family campers & tenters to find camping locations right for their needs at www.woodalls.com/search/tents/.

Woodall's has been providing information about RVing and camping for over 70 years. In 1935, Karl Hale Dixon founded the company with Trailer Travel magazine. Within a few months, he realized people needed to know where they could camp and so started a directory of camping locations. At that time, there were as many as 102 "trailerites" wandering North America verifying the existence of parks. That verification has turned into the Woodall 1 - 5 Rating System. From those beginnings, we've developed into a company with 12 different Campground directories, a Family Camping Magazine, an RV Buyer's Guide, two regional RV/camping newspapers, Campground Management, a trade publication for RV parks and campgrounds, plus books on RV repairs, maintenance and cooking on the road. Woodall's two regional monthly and bi-monthly publications follow a mix of core features and columns, matched with strong regional information. These two publications offer monthly columns by well-known RV writers, along with lifestyle pieces, RV road tests, product reviews and industry news. Each publication also garners unique destination articles within the territory, campground reviews and event pages, dealer news and profiles, local events and RV shows, cover story and articles that concern RVers within the region. It is Woodall's hope that the reader receives the kind of useful information often reserved for national magazines, while learning about local news that affects them as well.
